In honor of Kenn McLaughlin’s indelible impact on the Houston theater community, Stages has founded the Kenn McLaughlin Artistic Legacy Circle.

This campaign aims to elevate Kenn’s extraordinary legacy and support our new artistic and managerial leaders as they set out to create a bold future for Stages.

Prominent Recognition

Individuals who give at the levels listed below will have their names prominently displayed on the windows of The Gordy. This significant recognition will not only serve as a permanent reminder of Kenn’s contributions to Houston, but will shine a bright light on the donors who have committed to playing an integral part of the Stages story through their support of the Kenn McLaughlin Artistic Legacy Circle.

Only gifts of $1,000 above and beyond your current level of support will be eligible for this donor recognition opportunity.

How Will My Funds Be Leveraged?

The Kenn McLaughlin Artistic Legacy Circle is essential to building Stages’ artistic and operational capacity. With this increased potential, Stages can invest in more artists, develop more new works, elevate our technical caliber, enhance our educational programs, and more deeply serve our community by centering new voices and innovative ideas. At the heart of this campaign is Kenn’s commitment to sustainably:

• Support the leadership transition of the new artistic director and managing director.
• Give time and space for leaders to build vital relationships, inspiring them to confidently begin their work, secure in the knowledge of this community’s resounding support.
• Create space for the new artistic director to unleash their artistic expression, creativity and unique storytelling.
• Invest in new positions, including scenic carpenter, wig technician and production stage manager—roles that are critical to Stages’ ability to fully capitalize on the technical capabilities of The Gordy.
