On April 1st, 2023, chairs Alicia and Garrett Gordy will host Welcome to Wonderland, an evening of spectacular fun, entertainment, and community. All funds raised benefit Stages. The evening will honor Phillips 66 for their outstanding support of Stages and the arts in Houston.
Welcome to Wonderland will feature an incredible world premiere cirque performance created just for Stages, as well as a fabulous three-course seated dinner with wine pairings curated by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd, and a covetable silent auction carefully selected by auction chair Kerry Walker and committee member Kalinda Campbell.
Gala at The Gordy, Stages’ signature annual fundraising event, is a night devoted to fun and celebration, where you can connect with friends while supporting Stages’ mission to make plays and tell stories for Houston.
Proceeds support our varied year-round season of theater, community engagement programming like the Night Market, and education and accessibility initiatives such as our Young Artists Conservatory, ASLI and sensory-friendly performances, and Stages’ industry-leading Mentor/Mentee program.

Welcome to Wonderland: An Evening of Fantastical Oddities will feature over-the-(big)top circus performances including jaw-dropping aerial dance, spectacular acrobatics, juggling, and SO MUCH MORE!
This stunning world-premiere production showcases all live music including original songs written by Denver-based band, The Whimsy of Things. With thrills guaranteed to surprise and delight, it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience!
