Stages Announces Plumshuga National Launch

On October 14, 2022, Stages will host a celebratory fundraiser to support the world premiere production of Plumshuga: The Rise of Lauren Anderson, one of the largest and most ambition productions in Stages’ 44-year history.
The National Launch will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity for event attendees to meet some of Stages’ closest supporters and the creative powerhouses behind Plumshuga, including playwright Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton, choreographer Stanton Welch, and Lauren Anderson herself.
Upon arrival, guests will walk down the Pink Carpet to enter this spectacular premiere. There will be a pre-show reception with passed heavy hors d’oeuvres and a selection of beverages including wine, beer, specialty cocktails, and soft drinks. The play is deeply rooted in Houston, so the food will be inspired by favorite Houston dishes.
After the show, there will be desserts and a toast to the artists, who will join the festivities once they’ve changed out of costumes and makeup.
