Refunds and Exchanges

Tickets are non-refundable except in instances of event cancellation from Stages.

SINGLE-TICKET REFUNDS

Need to change your performance date? Exchanges are subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours before your scheduled performance.

Single ticket exchanges are subject to a $5 per-ticket fee. If the new tickets are higher in value, the ticket holder is responsible for the difference.

Subscribers and Impresario level members with ticket privileges receive complimentary exchanges.

SUBSCRIPTION REFUNDS

Subscription packages are refundable before the first performance in the subscription has been attended. Once the first performance has been attended, the subscription becomes non-refundable.

Late Seating and Unclaimed Seats

Stages’s theater spaces are designed to facilitate intimate storytelling. We know things happen, but out of consideration for the seating configurations and the experience of other patrons and performers, we regret that we are rarely able to seat ticket-holders once the performance has begun. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance to ensure enough time to park, pick up your tickets, and get to your seats.

Any unclaimed seats will be released for purchase by standby patrons five minutes after the advertised start time. If you know in advance that you will be late for this performance, please contact the Box Office at 713.527.0123 or patronservices@stageshouston.com. If your tickets are resold at show time to a standby patron, our team will be happy to arrange a ticket exchange for a new date at no cost. Refunds are not eligible.

Silence Electronic Devices and Use of Photography and Recordings

We encourage you to take photos of your experience in our lobby spaces before and after the performance and please share them with your friends! During the performance, we kindly request you power off all digital devices before the show begins. Due to the intimate nature of our venue, sound and light carries very easily and can distract other patrons and present a safety concern for our performers.

The plays you experience in our theaters, including the sets, lights, costumes, music and sounds, represent the creative work of many artists. Out of respect for that work and consideration for fellow audience members and performers, we ask that you please refrain from taking any photographs, videos, or other recordings during performances. Patrons who attempt to operate any type of recording device during a performance will be asked to leave the theater.

Children

We’re big fans of little patrons! In fact, we have a range of programs just for them. For main stage performances, children aged 6 years and older who are capable of sitting quietly for a full performance are welcome at our shows when accompanied by an adult. All children must be ticketed for their own seat. For designated family productions, children should be at least 2 years old and accompanied by an adult. Special Effects and Content Advisory

Our shows occasionally use haze, fog, strobe lights, and other special effects.  Additionally, some shows may contain graphic language, violence, sexual situations, or references to drug or alcohol use that parents or sensitive viewers may find uncomfortable. If you have any concerns about special effects or the content of our shows, please contact our Box Office for details prior to purchasing tickets.

Food and Drinks

Our full-service bar offers wine, beer, sodas, water, coffee, and small snacks in our lobby beginning one hour before performances. While drinks are welcome inside our theaters, we ask that you not bring food inside the performance spaces.

Smoke-Free Facility

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Gordy’s campus including in the parking garage, patios, or lawn.

Handguns Prohibited

Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun.
